Hailing from the moon-drenched beaches of Southern California, Fiona A. Elder crafts fantasy and horror fiction intended for those old enough to buy liquor but young enough to desire an adventure (even if it’s just a mental one.)

Ink may be in her blood, but Fiona’s heart comes from her husband as well as her two fantastic children who keep things nice and chaotic.

Years of indecision exploring passions in meteorology, psychology, and design fed Fiona’s enjoyment of research and creating. Ten years into her design career she broke into writing—literally. Curbs are her nemesis, and on a sunny morning, she stumbled off one, breaking her ankle, and wasted 2 cups of coffee.

Sequestered to the couch, foot elevated and mind numb, she found an old, abused file labeled ‘the book.’ She began to write, and write, and write, and… you get the idea. Even the usual distractions of RPG’s role-playing games and horror movie-a-thons were not enough to tear her away from the keyboard.

Fiona can still be found today feet elevated, transcribing imagination, and ready to share a story over a mug of coffee, shot of whiskey, or glass of wine.

Welcome to Night Side of Fiction.
